On-call and call-back duty required, as needed
- Service/repairs of complex Security System components and CCTV/video devices installed at various WSSC Water facilities
- Ensures that electronic and security instrumentation used in various WSSC Water facilities functions properly
- Uses industrial test equipment and specialized test equipment to monitor and repair Security System equipment
- Aids in establishing and maintaining adequate parts inventory
- Maintains records on testing, maintenance and repairs of equipment
- Maintains and repairs complex equipment associated with the Security System
- Troubleshoot network/telephone system communication circuitry of the Security System
- Drives a vehicle to conduct WSSC Water business
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on Security System components and CCTV/video devices as specified by manufacture requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Thorough knowledge of electronics theory and of the methods and practices of electronic equipment repair
- Knowledge of the functioning and maintenance of electronic security components and CCTV/video devices
- Ability to read instrumentation data accurately and to maintain records of maintenance activities
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 3+ years experience in electronic/security equipment maintenance and repair
- Possession of a valid driver's license with no more than 4 points and the ability to obtain and maintain a WSSC Water driver's permit within 90 days of hire or transfer
- Must be able to work on-call hours, as needed
- Software House C*Cure 9000 technical training certification
- Knowledge of network design and network switch and router configurations
