Security Operations Network Engineer

Position Summary: 
This role is focused on ensuring that the company’s global network infrastructure is meeting all security operational performance and reliability targets. The role is responsible for all security operational activities related to our cloud or on-premise network infrastructure, engaging with partners and vendor demands, and assisting the architecture and engineering team with delivery of new technology as required.
The Security Operations Network Engineer will work collaboratively across multiple IT functions, employees and vendors to ensure that cloud and on-premise global network infrastructures are meeting all security requirements. 
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: 

• Provide network security operational support for the Reyes Holdings global IP LAN/WAN IP infrastructures including routing, switching, wireless, network security equipment, telecommunications circuits and load balancing supporting 170+ global locations and 3 major contact centers
• Responsible for troubleshooting and processing security operational tickets received from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel as well as escalated incidents that are received from other sources
• Perform installation of required patches and or code updates in response to security vulnerabilities
• In consultation with Security compliance, ensure that all network equipment is operating at appropriate levels of operating system and patch levels
• Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents in accordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies and operational impact
• Categorize issues for escalation and assign to appropriate technical teams where required
• Act as escalation point for our managed service provider to review and resolve technical issues
• Enable and drive continuous improvement through the IT Service Center and Managed Service partners
• Collect and review risk reports from various systems to identify issues, trends or develop recommendations to improve security operational performance
• Work with internal and external technical and service teams to create and/or update knowledge base articles, configuration documentation and runbooks to provide improved operational support
• Develop and oversee the adherence to maintenance and performance standards.
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience: 

• BA or BS Degree in a Technology Discipline or High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of on-the-job experience in IT Security or Operations, including experience providing operational support for Cisco networking technologies and infrastructures, concepts, products, as well as other industry network standards and protocols OR High School Diploma and 6+ years of the above stated experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
• Cisco Certification – CCNP or 6+ years of on-the-job experience in IT Security or Operations
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide operational support off hours and as required in a 24/7 environment
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

• Cisco ISE, CSW/Tetration, Stealthwatch, Palo Alto Firewall experience
• F5 Load Balancer experience
• Certification such as CCNP Routing/Switching, Palo Alto, F5.
• Cisco ACI and VXLan and SDWAN networking
• A least one professional security management certification, such as:
• Certified Incident Handler v2 (ECIH)
• GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
• Certified Computer Security Incident Handler (CSIH)
• Certified Expert Incident Manager (CEIM)
• GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
• GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)
• AWS, Azure, Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
