About the role:

We're seeking a Security Operations Lead to spearhead our dedicated SecOps team. This role demands a dynamic leader who thrives in guiding teams through the complexities of Security Operations within the healthcare sector. Your expertise in leading cybersecurity initiatives, from continuous monitoring and incident response to threat intelligence, will be pivotal in safeguarding our infrastructure and data.

Requirements

You will:

  • Drive the SecOps team's daily operations, implementing agile methodologies to optimize project tracking and team productivity. 
  • Oversee security project timelines and deliverables, identifying and addressing any impediments to success. 
  • Act as a crucial link between the SecOps team and the CISO, providing updates and escalating issues as necessary. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team, mentoring members and encouraging knowledge sharing. 
  • Evaluate and refine operational processes for efficiency, soliciting team feedback to foster continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure adherence to the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices, integrating new tools and techniques into the team's operations. 
  • Manage documentation processes and promote a culture of knowledge sharing across the organization. 
  • Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to align security efforts with business objectives, managing contracts and relationships. 
  • Maintain vigilance over emerging security threats, guiding the team in proactive defense strategies and incident response. 
  • Assess and manage the deployment of security tools and technologies, ensuring team proficiency in their use. 
  • Lead risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential vulnerabilities, strengthening our security posture. 
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to actively engage in the hiring and recruitment processes. Leveraging industry networks and expertise to identify, attract , and interview top talent that aligns with the company's objectives and values. 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members within your department and across diverse functions. 
  • Play an integral role in shaping and reinforcing the overall company culture, promoting values that enhance teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement. 
  • Create questions to ask in the interviews as well – add them into the interview questions template 

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a strong foundation in Security Operations principles. 
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a proven track record in team leadership and project management. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of fostering teamwork and collaboration across departments. 
  • Deep understanding of security compliance frameworks relevant to the healthcare industry, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST. 
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Azure or defender  

Certifications

  • Required
    • SC 200
    • CompTIA Security+ 
  • Preferred
    • CISSP or CISM required within first 6 months 
    • CompTIA Security+

Salary - $135,000 - $164,000
