Job Summary:

As Auxiom’s Security Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients' digital landscapes and ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity. You will work with a dynamic team of security professionals, overseeing the implementation and optimization of security measures to protect both Auxiom’s and our clients' assets and sensitive information.

Expectations of you in this role

• Strategic Leadership:
• Build upon Auxiom’s existing Security Strategy, working with business unit leaders to align objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for other teams to proactively address emerging threats.
• Incident Response and Threat Management:
• Oversee the identification, analysis, and response to security incidents.
• Develop and refine incident response plans to minimize the impact of security breaches.
• Security Infrastructure:
• Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies, tools, and processes.
• Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of security solutions, including SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning, Firewalls, and EDR systems.
• Technical owner of Security platforms.
• Compliance and Governance:
• Work closely with the Auxiom Security Compliance Team to ensure the appropriate security measures are in place and being audited per compliance requirements.
• Vendor Management:
• Work closely with vendors to evaluate and select security products and services.
• Manage relationships with security service providers and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Security Operations.
• Stay informed about emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to proactively adapt security strategies.
• Be honest, transparent, and genuine with our clients and your peers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a security leadership role, preferably within a Managed IT Services environment.
• Proven experience in understanding all critical aspects of technology infrastructure, including networking, firewall, servers, workstations, and how it relates to security.
• Proven experience as an engineer level technical resource, such as in network, firewall, and/or systems management.
• Experience implementing security policies into technical systems, such as configuring and deploying a security tool to meet a compliance need.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is an on-site in office position. The starting salary is in the 95K-115K range. Full benefit package. We look forward to welcoming you to our team.
