The Security Officer/Guard is responsible for monitoring the safety and security of the DCMC campus while on duty. Duties range from: greeting/accessing assisting patients, visitors, and staff for potential concerns, patrolling facility and grounds, assistance with emergency alerts/codes, coordinating with local law enforcement agencies, as well as other activities as needed. The Security Officer is used to deter crime, to prevent theft, and to be a first responder for emergency and non-emergency situations.
Education Required: High school diploma or GED certificate.
Related Years of Experience Required: 1-3 years related security experience, healthcare experience, or other related public service/safety experience.
Credential/Licensure Required: IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security) Basic Training Course Certificate - to be accomplished in first year of employment.
Shift: 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (three shifts per week plus alternating Sunday nights for a total of 86 hours per pay period).
