Security Officer Pt

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facility they protect.  They protect life and property of patients, visitors and staff.  They act as a visible deterrent to crime and hospital rule infractions, as well as detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, clients or employees of the hospital.  They are responsible for patrolling the hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism.  They are responsible for securing, unlocking and protecting hospital buildings.  They are responsible for responding to the security needs of patients, visitors and staff.

Education:  Post-secondary school preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience:  Prior security related experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:   Class D Security License required.  CPI (nonviolent de-escalation) training within 60 days of hire/start date. 

Valid driver's license required.
