Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Security Officer, K9 Handler to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Security Officer, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members.

Responsibilities
- Maintain K9 both on and off duty in a safe and controlled manner; provide the training and care of the assigned K9
- Respond to situations that indicate a need for K9 support throughout the casino and parking lot
- Patrol casino floor and hotel to respond to potential disturbances or encounters using proven control and threat mitigation techniques; regulate luggage access by checking for bombs and firearms
- Engage in regular training exercises and conduct training scenarios with other security team members to promote awareness of the techniques
- Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Law enforcement or related experience a plus
- Gaming background a plus; must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle records check, and drug test
- Ability to complete detailed reports for incidents which occur in a correct, concise, and timely manner
Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain poise and calm demeanor in stressful situations
- Physical ability to stand and walk long periods of time and engage in rigorous activity when needed
- Flexibility to work varying hours depending on the needs of the property and K9
- Vision must be sufficient that the Officer is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night

Southland Casino Hotel
Southland Casino Hotel, located in West Memphis, Arkansas, features a 113,000-square-foot gaming floor with 2,400 slot machines, 50 live table games, a high-limit room, sports-betting, as well as a full range of dining options, and hotel rooms.
