Schedule: Monday- Friday 8a-4p + after hours school events

Signal of Hampton Roads is looking for a committed, reliable and dedicated Security Officer that plays a vital role in protecting our property, employees and visitors. The officer will be required to work around children while fostering a positive environment maintaining a strong security presence and building good and concise reports.

Responsibilities:

These responsibilities are subject to change depending on the company’s needs.

· Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises

· Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities

· Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential security risks or breaches

· Respond to alarms and emergency situations in a timely manner

· Provide assistance and support to visitors, employees, and contractors as needed

· Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises

· Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and other relevant information

· Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary

· Conduct loss prevention activities to minimize theft or damage to property

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proven experience as a security guard or related field is preferred

· Strong observation and surveillance skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

· Basic knowledge of security procedures and protocols

· Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment is a plus

· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Position Summary:

A Signal Dedicated Officer will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.
