Security Officer - Flex

DMAC Security is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to observe and detect criminal activity and then alert the proper authorities. Your detailed awareness and prompt reach out help keep properties secure and ensure everyone feels safe. This position will have varying schedules and locations so a flexible schedule is key. You will be filling in on shifts that are vacant due to staffing issues, time off requests, and call outs. Detail oriented, quick learning, and multitasking are key skills for this position.
Specific Duties and Functions

• Perform Security patrols of assigned areas on foot
• Behave in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Always check in with manager on duty at beginning of shift
• Utilize the radios to communicate with the team
• Officer may periodically do a perimeter walk-thru with the manager on duty
• Identify potential shoplifters and communicate with managers ONLY regarding such issues
• Be aware of trouble zones
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
