Job Description:
As a Cruise Terminal Screener, you will be responsible for screening passengers and their belongings before they board cruise ships. You will operate security screening equipment, such as metal detectors and x-ray machines, to detect prohibited items and ensure compliance with security regulations. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions and directions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate security screening equipment to screen passengers and their belongings.
- Identify and respond to security threats and prohibited items.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions and directions.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
- Follow security procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and terminal facilities.
- Complete screening reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 yrs old or the minimum age required by the State
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Social Security card, Drivers License/State Identification Card
- Must be able to speak fluent English; Bi- lingual is a plus
- Must be able to follow Coast Guard regulations
- Must have Active Guard License for Washington State or must be able to obtain Washington State Guard License
- Obtain TWIC( Transportation Worker Identification Credential )
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, work outside in inclement weather
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to operate security screening equipment effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
