Job Description:
As a Cruise Terminal Screener, you will be responsible for screening passengers and their belongings before they board cruise ships. You will operate security screening equipment, such as metal detectors and x-ray machines, to detect prohibited items and ensure compliance with security regulations. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions and directions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate security screening equipment to screen passengers and their belongings.
• Identify and respond to security threats and prohibited items.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions and directions.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
• Follow security procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and terminal facilities.
• Complete screening reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 yrs old or the minimum age required by the State
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Social Security card, Drivers License/State Identification Card
• Must be able to speak fluent English; Bi- lingual is a plus
• Must be able to follow Coast Guard regulations
• Must have Active Guard License for Washington State or must be able to obtain Washington State Guard License
• Obtain TWIC( Transportation Worker Identification Credential )
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, work outside in inclement weather
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to operate security screening equipment effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
