Job description

FUNCTION
The Lead Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons, employees and company assets. This individual will also assist with the planning and strategic input of the shift.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
  • Delegates Duties and assign responsibilities to staff.
  • Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
  • May answer incoming calls to the facility and direct calls or answer patron questions.
  • May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver's License.
  • Trains other Security Officers in performance of duties.
  • In the absence of Security Management will schedule other security officers on their assigned shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Controlling access to restricted areas.
  • Reacting to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
  • Monitoring patron and employee passage in and out of facility.
  • Responsible for checking for and reporting safety hazards.
  • May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver's License.
  • Other duties as assigned.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
  • 1-2 year of security officer role

The employee is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
