Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets within the facility. Your primary objective will be to prevent unauthorized access, detect and report any security breaches or suspicious activities, conduct routine foot patrols, and respond effectively to emergencies or incidents.
We are seeking guards for a part time position. The available shifts are from 1500 - 2300 hours from Friday through Sunday. More shifts may be available in the future. This site operates 24/7.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Protection: Monitor entrances, exits, and external areas of the state facility to ensure only authorized personnel enter and leave the premises.
Surveillance and Monitoring: Maintain a constant watch on the facility through regular foot patrols and monitoring systems. Promptly report any suspicious activities, potential security threats, or breaches of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, natural disasters, or any other critical situations. Follow established emergency procedures, evacuate personnel if necessary, and provide assistance until emergency personnel arrive.
Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report all incidents, accidents, or security-related issues in a timely manner. Prepare detailed incident reports that include relevant information such as date, time, location, description of the incident, individuals involved, and actions taken.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with other security personnel, facility staff, and law enforcement agencies. Collaborate with colleagues to implement security measures, share information, and coordinate responses to security incidents or emergencies.
Training and Compliance: Stay updated on security procedures, protocols, and applicable laws or regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional security-related certifications or training is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or similar role (1 Year).
- Valid HI Guard Card.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and law enforcement regulations.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle prolonged periods of standing, walking, or responding to emergencies.
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Guards interested in working at alternative sites for additional hours are encouraged to ask during the interview.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.01 per hour
