Security Engineer Associate

WHO are we looking for? 

CAPTRUST is seeking a Security Engineer Associate who will work with our network and IT team to maintain physical security. This position is for our Raleigh, NC office location. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

• Maintain and enhance physical security through management of cameras, door security software, and enforcing policy regarding vendors and guests.
• Assist with tickets in the security queue.
• Continuously look to improve security processes relating primarily to physical security.
• Learn other aspects of security over time.
• Assist with projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent experience
• Security + is a plus

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be very thorough and detail orientated
• Conduct daily reviews of each security solution. Identify, investigate, and resolve security events as detected by those systems. Raise issues to management as appropriate.
• Document security incidents, security exceptions, and log and monitor security events.
• Review infrastructure logs and interpret the security implications of that activity and devise action plans for appropriate resolution.
• Assist with periodic user access reviews.
• Assist with design and implementation of security requirements.
• Help IT Staff and Information Security Department as needed.
• Assist with managing and maintaining security systems and software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-malware software.
• Experience with Feenics or other door security software (a plus)
• Experience with Meraki portal for camera access (a plus)
• General IT experience with a passion for security (physical and virtual)
