Job Summary 

Position will assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive security program, including establishing security policies and procedures to mitigate against identified risks. In addition, the position will aid stakeholders in following HCA’s Physical Security policies and standards, Life Safety and other regulatory guidelines. Individual will utilize skills and knowledge of industry best practices to assess and make recommendations to the internal and/or external environment of a facility that will reduce risk from an all-hazards approach. 

This position is a vital link in the relationship between facilities, divisions and corporate departments and will aid in driving compliance with the Physical Security Program, while enhancing safety and security. 

Major Responsibilities: 

Quality 

• Lend subject matter/ technical support for all stakeholders regarding physical security best practice techniques that will enhance safety and security. 
• Ensure projects are supported while adhering to Physical Security program minimum guidelines. 
• Assist with the reviewing and revision of physical security policies and standards. 
• Ability to manage challenging and wide-reaching decisions, address unique problems, and balance the interests of all appropriate stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

Service 

• Possess excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills that foster strong working relationships across a large team and group of stockholders. 
• Survey and assess facilities to ensure program compliance. 

People 

• Collaborate with facility, division and corporate stakeholders in the development and execution of physical security strategies and action plans. 

Growth 

• Recommend facility, division and/or enterprise solutions to the physical security team that will promote the program's growth and drive success. 

Finance 

• Develop recommendations based on allotted project budget.

Education & Experience: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field or
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience Required 
• 7+ years of experience in a healthcare security, safety or emergency mgt Required 
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role Required 
• Experience in leading security programs Strongly Preferred 
  
• Experience in policy creation Strongly Preferred 

Licenses, Certifications, & Training: 

• Healthcare Security, Safety and/or Emergency Mgt Certification/s Preferred 

Additional Information: 

• This role will require the candidate to live in or be willing to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area. 
• Once established in the role, a hybrid schedule would be considered. 
• Role will require up to 25% travel (a few times a quarter).
