Security Associate

Job Summary
This is an "essential personnel" position; in the case of severe weather or other emergency situations, you are required to report to work regardless of the company being closed.
May be required to work additional hours outside of assigned shift to support the organizations safety and security mission.
Scheduled Hours: Mon/Tues/Wed: 930-600p Thurs/Fri: OFF Sat/Sun: 300p-1130p
This position is responsible for the safety and security of all company assets. This position is a first responder to all life safety emergencies at MAPFRE such as medical emergencies, fire and/or burglar activations, building evacuations, or motor vehicle accidents. This position maintains a safe and secure working environment by utilizing foot patrol, vehicle patrol, and monitoring practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: High School or equivalent knowledge or related experience.
Experience: 1 - 3 years.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of general and technical parts of the job. Working knowledge in field, able to work independently.

Must remain calm, level headed and respond quickly in stressful situations
Maintain physical activity throughout shift (e.g. walking, standing, emergency response, etc.)
Maintain confidentiality while carrying out the duties and responsibilities described within
Write detailed reports (Daily Activities Reports and Incident Reports)
Interact and communicate professionally and effectively in a corporate setting
Communicate professionally and effectively under stressful situations via two-way radio and/or other devices
Deliver exceptional customer service
Deescalate volatile situations
Perform investigations to ascertain facts as assigned
Exceptional situational awareness, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Exceptional follow through and attention to detail; flexible, highly organized, ability to easily shift priorities
