Kwaan Tech is seeking a Security Assistant to join our team in support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). This position serves as Security Assistant – ID Card Issuer, Fingerprint Technician for USAID. This position is ON-SITE in Washington, DC.
This position serves as a Security Assistant – ID Card Issuer on the Domestic Security Team, within the International Security Division, Office of Security. This person will issue USAID Personal ID Cards in the following circumstances: New issuances, existing employees, lost, stolen, compromised, or damaged cards, personal identity or security clearance change, renewals, and name changes. When occasion requires, collect a full set of the applicant’s fingerprints using an electronic device on SF 87 fingerprint card.
The Security Assistant will conduct the following but is not limited to: must ensure all Identification Card/Facility Access requests are complete and entered into SEC's file management system, IDMS and Access Control. Entries include scanned images that must be concise and accurate according to the SOP's and set management guidance. Reject all ID or access security requests that are incomplete. Monitors the SEC Domestic mailbox daily and ensures responses to SEC customers are completed within 48 hours (business days). Responses to senior management are completed as requested or within 24 hours. Provides back up coverage performing daily work assignments in the absence of the other Security Assistant assigned to ISP and Domestic Security staff.
Provides customer service outreach to offices, Bureaus, applicants, employees, and outside Government Agencies;
Performs evaluations and analysis of related forms to grant or deny issuance of USAID PIV/FAC/FLAC ID credentials.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and maintain Top Secret security clearance eligibility.
- A college degree is not required but must have two or more years of relevant experience at the GS-7 level (or GS equivalent).
- Must have knowledge and experience with computer systems and data entry.
- The incumbent must have knowledge and experience in cross checking information through databases. The incumbent must be proficient in initiating data entry for applicants and employees into a data system. Experience in evaluating data and related forms in order to grant or deny issuance of USAID Identity Credentials.
- Recognizes or uses correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
