We’re searching for a Security & Fire Alarm Technician. A Security & Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installation of a wide variety of commercial security, CCTV, access control, and Fire Alarm systems and equipment. We are looking for someone that thrives in a fast pace, rewarding field that promotes growth. The ideal candidate must excel in customer service skills and be capable of effective communication with clients, management and fellow employees. Requirements include above average proficiency in all responsibilities associated with the position and the capability to effectively work independently.
A Security & Fire Alarm Technician will be required to interface with the Service Coordinator and Project Managers as needed and deliver consistent, accurate and timely results. It is expected that a Security & Fire Alarm Technician will provide direction and technical expertise to other Uhl team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively manages time on installation, staying on or below budgeted man hours for each project.
- Manages multiple service calls or construction projects and provides weekly updates to Supervisors and/or Account Managers.
- Works closely with scheduling coordinator to ensure projects are completed on or before assigned deadlines.
- Works with contractors and/or customers to identify any and all necessary change orders. Then presents this information to the Supervisor and/or Account Manager.
- Promotes collaboration, partnerships and positive long lasting relationships with customers.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including security systems, Fire Alarms, access control systems, and data/telecommunication systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines pertaining to low voltage installations.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for testing, diagnosing, and repairing low voltage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor locations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience in the security/Fire Alarm industry
• Must have a clean valid driver’s license with dependable transportation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Detail Oriented
• Dependable
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Power Limited Technician License preferred
• NICET certification(s) preferred
