Are you starting your career and would like to learn a variety of products with the support of seasoned traders? Do you work well in dynamic environments?
Understand and execute Residential and ABS Whole Loan transactions, amongst other products

  • Daily risk management associated with a range of portfolios
  • Keep apprised of market developments and trading opportunities
  • Liase with supporting teams to learn product life cycle and risk-management (settlements, Operations, Legal, Finance, Confirmation team, middle office)
  • Manage trading, execution, operational and compliance risk, amongst others
  • Perform Daily market data build, mark curves, run P&L estimate
  • Follow regulations and internal policies, including quality of execution, pricing, hedging, trading limits and compliance policies

Your future colleagues

You’ll be joining NCL Securitized Products US Trading desk, specifically working on the ABS and residential whole loans portfolio. The desk manages varied portfolios across the ABS and R Residential Whole Loan asset class and assists the broader NCL group as part of a wind down portfolio, allowing for opportunities to learn and engage in a variety of activities. In addition to the focus on the Residential Whole Loan and ABS portfolios, there will be additional product exposure to meet the broader NCL focus to exit positions and return capital to core business to the benefit of the Group strategy.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for:

  • Ideally 1-3 years’ worth of trading / risk management experience
  • Keen, curious learner with an ability to effectively communicate activity for management reporting
  • Ability to collaborate with the desk and the associated support functions
  • Know-how and understand pricing models
  • Proficiency to build analysis spreadsheets for analysis with an ability to communicate trading ideas clearly
  • Degree or equivalent in finance, engineering, economics or other quantitative field
  • Completed or in the process of completing SIE, Series 7, Series 63
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives

The salary range, if this role is being hired in New York City, is $110- $125k annually, based on various factors such as experience, education, skills, internal and external market data, etc.
