Provide clerical support to the principals and school counselors in a manner that is professional, diplomatic, and complies with confidentiality requirements.
1. Provide assistance to the principals, counselors, teachers, students and parents/guardians in working toward a positive educational environment.
2. Perform clerical duties such as answering phone calls; opening, sorting, and distributing mail; typing letters, correspondences, memos, and reports; filing, faxing; and copying.
3. Maintain courses, sections and classes in SIS. Program and update years and terms for each academic school year and after any occurrence for which the need for change may result.
4. Enter scheduling materials into student data software program including the master schedule, student schedules, teacher schedules, and make any scheduling changes during the summer and throughout the school year as needed.
5. Provide clerical assistance to the principals and fulfill clerical requests including state reports.
6. Oversee and distribute transcripts as needed for college applications, scholarships, and other requests from students and graduates.
7. Assist with electronic, physical, and logistical standardized testing preparation and requirements. Enter standardized test scores into student information system (SIS).
8. Assist with the organization and typing of forms and information for the school nurse. Provide additional assistance to the nurse as needed.
9. Assist with organizing events within the guidance department.
10. Import and store grades into SIS for quarterly report cards.
11. Print and mail progress reports to parents as requested.
12. Maintain student educational records.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the building Principal and/or Assistant Principal.
