OakGrove Secondary Math Teacher (Full Time) Essential Duties:

OakGrove teachers put together informative and engaging lesson plans for their subjects. Teachers use a
variety of visual aids, textbooks and creative projects to gain student involvement. As technology becomes an
increasingly large part of education, high school teachers may be required to have and teach computer skills.
Other duties may include:

• Preparing material for classes
• Lecturing and discussing concepts
• Prioritizing teaching methods
• Grading tests and conducting progress reports
• Implementing and reporting on IEPs and ISPs
• Implementing a school wide behavior plan
• Teaching Summer Quarter
• Completing parent and student conferences 3 times a year
• Recordkeeping student activities in accordance with laws and school policies
• Chaperoning classes and field trips monthly
• Working collaboratively as a team
• Attend staff meetings and other professional development meetings
