- 1.0 CISCO Teacher at Career & Technology Center
- In addition to the duties assigned to FCPS Teachers, the CISCO Teacher will:
- Oversee and monitor student work to solve networking problems within the school building.
- Prepare students to sit for industry certification exams that are the first step toward a CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Support students in Career and Technology Student Organization membership, preparation, and competition.
- When available, assist teachers in all curricular areas with the successful use and integration of instructional technology in their instructional programs.
- In addition to the duties assigned to FCPS Teachers, the CISCO Teacher will:
- Qualifications include:
- Hold or be eligible for CISCO Network Academy instructor certification.
- Certification in CCENT or Network + and CompTIA A+.
- Meet Dual Enrollment instructor requirement of the local community college (CISCO certification)
- Knowledge of computer network design and administration; hardware, software, and network installation; local and wide-area network (LAN/WAN) management; systems engineering; local, state, and federal safety; and building and environmental codes and regulations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 through current, server 2008 through current, Exchange, SharePoint and Office Suite; Linux; Kali; CISCO routers and switches; DHCP, DNS, Email, FTP, Application, Web, Print and Active Directory servers.
- Knowledge of current events in the field of information technology.
