Job description
A successful Customer Service Representative/Operations Office Clerk will work closely with customers and on-site management to manage shipping and receiving as well as billing and invoicing. The position requires positive interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication skills.
1st shift M-TH 6AM-4:30PM
2nd shift M-TH 4 PM -3:00 AM
Weekend shift Friday to Sunday 8AM-8:30PM
Second Shift, shift differential is $1.00
Weekend Shift, shift differential is $1.50
Requirements
· 3 years verifiable customer service experience
· Bachelor’s degree in business or similar discipline preferred; High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Outstanding computer and data entry skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
· Daily communication (email, phone, or in-person) with customers and internal management
· Processes billing and invoicing with tight turnaround times and attention to detail
· Manages shipping and receiving within our system in partnership with Distribution Center Manager and Supervisors
· Resolves any issues with billing, invoicing, shipping and/or receiving with customers and internal management
· Effectively communicates with internal team members and external customers.
- Maintains food safety and sanitation standards, in accordance with Food Safety Guidelines.
· Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
· Determines method of shipment.
· Affixes shipping labels and/or postage on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and Shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
· Rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
· Routes items to departments.
· Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
