ABOUT THE ROLE

Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Tag or mark orders as requested. Communicate regularly with team members and supervisor. This role will be hired as a Botanical Interests employee and will require you to be onsite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Order Filler/Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, neatness and productivity. Must be able to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly. The ability to follow directions is extremely important.
• The Order Filler/Picker must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Adhere to the highest quality standards – accuracy, timeliness, & efficiency.
• Conduct physical inventories as required.
• Refill stock as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Follow JIS (Job Instruction Sheets)
• Must be a team player
• Other duties as necessary

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Bending, stooping, kneeling frequently. Minimal exposure to outdoors may be necessary for transit.

COMPENSATION

This is a seasonal, temporary role starting immediately until end of May.

Qualified applicants can expect a starting hourly rate of $20.00 depending on shift. This role will not offer benefits. There is the opportunity to be hired as a full-time employee if positions are available.

WORKING HOURS

Morning shift is from the hours of 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Evening shift is from the hours of 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM.
