- Respond to general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints by phone, email and chat in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner
- Respond to inquiries by researching and resolving problems related to transactions handled by the Ticket Office
- Provide all guests with ticket access info, plan information, and mobile delivery
- Skillfully interact with fans of the US Open and USTA Staff to provide a positive experience
- Assist Ticket Staff with various projects. Projects may include:
- tracking and reporting of ticket sales and/or availability
- shipping through FedEx shipping system
- price checking
- Other duties as assigned
- Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament (3 weeks from August 19
through September 8), including nights, and weekends and available to work 12+ hour shifts - Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and computer proficient to access/update
customer records - Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor, adhering to the core expectations of our team at all
times and possess ability to work as part of a team and get along with coworkers - Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment and during stressful
situations - Arrive for shift on time, neatly groomed, and in a clean, pressed, well-maintained uniform
- Willing and comfortable working part of daily shift outdoors in various weather conditions in
late August/early September - Personable and proactive in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of
customer service - Excellent communication skills with thorough understanding of written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Ticket Office for major sporting event, team or venue
- Previous experience working in hospitality, sales or in a call center
- Bilingual is a plus, but not necessary
- Knowledge of ZenDesk, Ticketmaster Archtics (or similar ticketing system)
Salary: $18 per hour; overtime eligible
