Seasonal Summer Ranch Hand/Cashier

Reporting to the Manager, the Ranch Hand/Cashier assists guests with all transactions and questions.

Duties and Responsibilities

The core job duties are:

• Greet guests with a welcoming smile and attitude
• Assist guests in determining their purchases, upselling when applicable
• Process guests purchases making proper change when applicable
• Keep front desk tidy and organized
• Cut vegetables and arrange feed baskets for purchase
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Clean animal pens and ranch
• Communicate effectively to management any issues or needs at the Ranch
• Assist guests with all needs
• Assist with Train, Mine, Excavator, Tractors and Guinea Pig Pen
• Assist management with special projects as needed
• Assist with any other projects as assigned

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in sales and register operations preferred

Availability

• MUST be able to work weekdays and weekends- Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday
• Hours from 7 am -4 pm

Working Conditions: The ideal candidate will be able to work outdoors in a physical role that will require them to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry over 50 pounds on a regular basis. All positions require the ability to “Flex” over to other roles from time to time, handling of animals, interaction with the public, and exposure to outdoor elements.

As part of our hiring process, we ask that all candidates perform a paid test run of the role they are interviewing for so both parties can determine if we’ll make a good team working together.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
