Job description

Summary

The NFL is seeking a Seasonal Operations Manager for the Social, Influencer, & Content Marketing Department. This role will support the operational needs of the department, including vendor onboarding, contract management, travel booking, event logistical support, invoice processing, resource scheduling, liaising with Legal, Finance, IT, Facilities, and Engineering departments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead business affairs and logistical operations for NFL social, influencer, and content marketing activations at NFL tentpole events.
  • Oversee workload and daily responsibilities for coordinators assigned to support tentpole events.
  • Track and assess budget risks and opportunities for tentpole activations.
  • Manage relationships and business affairs with production vendors, creators, and talent agencies.
  • Lead the process of vendor onboarding, contract management, and invoicing with vendors, internal stakeholders, NFL Legal and Finance.
  • Oversee travel and credentialing requests for NFL staff, vendors, creators, and talent for tentpole events and productions.
  • Work cross functionally with IT, Facilities, Media Admin, and Engineering departments to support the technology and resource needs of the department.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent education
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

 

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of content production, workflow, formats and specs for broadcast production, social content, and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to effectively work in close liaison with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, organization, resourcefulness, and being proactive with minimal direction.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous requests and deadlines.
  • Thrives in and promotes a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation, and enthusiasm of work.

 

Travel

  • Up to 25%, with most travel needs around tentpole events in January through April

 

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Seasonal / 7-month role
  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. 
  • Overtime may be needed periodically on nights or weekends.
