Here are some of the things we see you working on:
- Irrigation, tree and shrub planting, select tree removal, and erosion control blanket placement are examples of additional tasks.
- Controlling invasive species (mechanical and chemical approaches) and establishing wetland plants
- Obtaining an Illinois state-issued herbicide operator's license.
- Spending 100% of my time in the field, as assigned, at various project locations.
- Plant identification, plant ecology, and invasive species management measures are also taught.
- Working in a variety of vegetal habitats, including grasslands, wetlands, sedge meadows, forests, and naturalized basins.
Successful Backgrounds Could Include
- Must be at least 18 years of age;
- Must have the physical ability to work in up to 2 feet of muddy water and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must provide own private transportation to each project location;
