Form of workWe’re currently seeking a new Seasonal member for our growing team of assembly professionals, who pick, weigh, & pack seeds and other products in accordance with standard mailing procedures while maintaining quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, exceptionally detail-oriented and able to track & successfully complete the multiple tasks associated with seed packaging. By utilizing strong communication skills and attention to detail, the packer will prepare seeds and other outdoor products for shipment. Seasonal Employees will work 2-3 months till busy season ends. We are in the middle right now so will be a short season for seasonal employee.
*Weekends are mandatory Friday - Sunday
Responsibilities
- Follow company procedures and standards
- Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
- Adhere to local and national regulations for a safe work environment
- Ensure product orders are packed accurately and efficiently
- Examine and inspect containers & materials to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met
- Measure, weigh, & count products and materials
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Assemble, line, and pack orders to USPS shipping specifications
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, & work areas
- Obtain, move, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools.
- Seal seed packets and envelopes to ensure product quality
- Place or pour products & materials into containers accurately
- Work at different stations, as production requires
- Inspect, weigh, and package products
- Verify compliance with quality, safety, and production standards; adherence to work rules; and efficient operation of equipment (i.e. scales)
- Report potential downtime, production scrap, and equipment quality issues
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Capable of transport
- Morning shift availability (6-8am)
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to read, write & communicate in English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
