Our Company: North Carolina FC Youth is home to more than 13,500 players and their families. NCFC Youth coaches, and supporters extend this network to hundreds of more individuals and corporate entities. Established in 1974, our non-profit organization, in collaboration with the professional North Carolina Football Club, is the largest youth-to-professional club in country. The Position: Reporting to the Camps and Events Coordinator, the Camps Site Coordinator is responsible for leading a team of 15-30 staff members to deliver a SAFE and FUN camp environment for 200+ campers of various ages and skill levels. This is a seasonal position located in Raleigh (WRAL Soccer Park) or Cary (Davis Drive/Thomas Brooks) that operates during Wake County Spring Break weeks and 6 weeks during the summer: March 25-29, June 17-21, June 24-28, July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-Aug 2.
Essential Functions:
Daily Organization: arrive early on site to ensure fields, facilities, equipment, and documents are organized, accounted for, accessible, and available.
- Prepare staff documents: check-in sheets, rosters/groups, daily schedule, roles/expectations
- Field layout, equipment inventory (cones, bibs, counselor shirts, camper shirts, goals
- Visible and engaged throughout the day for families, participants and staff.
- Group management - ensuring players are properly grouped based on requests, skill level and staff is appropriately placed to meet expectation of that group.
Communication: effectively and professionally communicate with families, participants, and staff
- Daily reports of concerns, issues, and injuries to camp director. Serious matters/injuries to be communicated as soon as possible
- Lead morning camp meetings/afternoon recaps - camp wide - go over topic, rules, expectations, reminders and set the tone for the day.
- Daily communication with recaps, photos, and reminders to families
Staff Management: create a positive, enthusiastic environment by leading and managing staff
- Assist staff with curriculum, time management, player management.
- Assign staff accordingly based on strengths, experiences. Provide feedback.
- Track hours and submit to camp director for payroll each week.
Other
- Must be able to adhere to camp safety rules, policies and procedures for the safety and well-being of the campers and staff.
- Other duties may be assigned by camp director
Hours
A typical camp week runs from 9am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-12pm on Friday with staff arriving around 8:15am each day. Site coordinators should arrive prior to staff each morning.

Qualifications and Skills:
Prior coaching/leadership experience.
Experience working with young children - team or camp setting.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Reliable and timely.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive.
Must be able to perform the essential functions and physical demands of this position (extreme temperatures, inclement weather, stand for long periods of time, lifting).
Must be available to work all seven weeks of camp.
