SalaryCAMP COUNSELOR – Tennis Instructor
Objective: This position is responsible for the instruction and safety of the children in the Tennis Camps, programs and events ensuring participants have a safe and have a fun experience.
Responsibilities:
- Leads, organizes, and supervises children while at camp.
- Assists with planning, developing and conducting age appropriate instructional activities for children of different ages.
- Performs setting up and breaking down equipment for various events and activities.
- Assists during emergency situations
- Reports any accidents immediately and monitors facilities to maintain structure, safety and a clean and welcoming environment
- Ensures safety rules, policies and guidelines are followed and coaches appropriately when required ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience
- Performs tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to be punctual and organized
- Candidates must have professional presentation
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and enjoy working with children
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time indoors/outdoors in a varied environment that may include heat and sunlight exposure
- Must possess strong communication skills and courteous manner
- Possess knowledge of occupational hazards and precautions related to child care
- Must be CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or willing to obtain upon hiring
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prefer High School Diploma
- Prefer 3 to 9 months working with children
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
