Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Body Shop technicians and support staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Manage daily workflow in the Body Shop, ensuring efficient scheduling and allocation of resources to meet production targets.
- Uphold strict quality control standards to ensure all repairs meet or exceed General Motors specifications and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary components for repair jobs.
- Oversee inventory management and procurement of supplies and equipment necessary for Body Shop operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment following OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty claims professionally and on time, striving to achieve complete satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive body repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of General Motors vehicles and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proven track record of achieving production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficiency in using computerized estimating and management systems.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices related to automotive repair.
