The Athletic Trainer’s primary role is with the Arizona Rattlers professional indoor football team. This position will serve as the Assistant Athletic Trainer during the season. The Athletic Trainer will work with the sports medicine team, including physical therapists and team physicians, to provide athlete centered care in a collaborative environment. Through partnerships, there will be opportunities for continued growth, experience and education that will further prepare the individual for the next step in their career.
What you'll be doing
Help develop, build and grow the relationship between the sports medicine team
Assists in coordinating provision of onsite and offsite sports medicine healthcare services and care for athletes.
Ensures that athletes’ complete needs are being met in the area of assessment, triage, evaluation, treatment, and return to play, and makes critical decisions on medical needs and return to play for athletes according to state licensure guidelines, and training.
Acts as the care coordinator for athletes in a timely manner and in close collaboration with providers within and outside the athletic training room.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Travel may be required to meet the needs of the job responsibilities

What You Bring to the Role
Must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited athletic training program.
Must have BOC certification
Must be licensed in the state of AZ or eligible for licensure and secure licensure within 120 days of hiring
CPR certification
Experience with acute sports injury evaluation and rehabilitation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in regards to communication with athletes, coaches, physicians, physical/hand therapists, and stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills and an ability to work with different sports medicine entities
Excellent relationship-builder and customer service skills
Demonstration of cross-departmental/company teamwork and collaboration
Flexible schedule that meets the sports medicine needs of the team and the Head Athletic Trainer
Provide proof of liability insurance
