Description
Summary: The Seasonal Aquatic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Hidden Creek Aqua Park or Rosewood Beach during their shift. They will work from 30-40 hours per week. Work shifts are variable and are usually evening and weekend shifts.
THIS POSITION IS CONSIDERED CONFIDENTIAL AND STRICT ADHERENCE TO EMPLOYEE CODE OF ORGANIZATIONAL VALUES IS REQUIRED.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Seasonal Aquatics Supervisor will directly supervise pool staff including Head Guard, lifeguards, front desk attendants, and maintenance attendance during shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma or any equivalent and have at least 2 years experience working in a supervisory position at a water facility is desired. They should be able to successfully complete an American Red Cross Pool and Watermark Lifeguarding Training Program; an in-water skill test and written examinations on lifeguard skills and safety. Preferred candidates would have certification as a Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor to instruct these courses.

- Manages all staff at the facility during shift.
- Monitor filter and chemical systems to maintain proper conditions in Hidden Creek.
- Work as part of the rescue team in case of emergencies.
- Participate in community activities.
- Enforce rules of facility.
- Assists in set up of organization of Guest Services at Hidden Creek.
- Lead or assist in staff training.
- Respond to patron and staff complaints and problems.
- Supervise or assist with opening and closing duties, as well as with maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
- Complete and/or approve required safety checklists, logs, and reports.
