Seasonal Agricultural Collection Technician

Deveron is hiring Seasonal Soil Sampling Technicians to join us for the 2023 Fall collection season; Top Hourly Pay Plus Overtime; $1,000 Bonus Potential

Our Soil Sampling Technicians work with Coordinators to complete assigned tasks in an efficient and professional manner. These tasks typically include (but are not limited to): Soil Sampling, Boundary Mapping, Carbon Sampling, and other tasks related to Precision Agriculture.

• Outdoor work - our work is out in all conditions;
• High level of adaptability and willingness to learn - we provide thorough training for your tasks!;
• Handle daily reporting/tracking for jobs;
• Proper handling of samples - the key to our data is each sample taken;
• Safe use of company equipment;
• Excellent customer service skills;

Requirements:

• Confident working independently with high levels of self-motivation;
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions; cold, snow, rain, wind, sun, etc.;
• Experience operating pickup truck with trailer and ATV (Valid driver’s license required, must submit a driving records check);
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. & walk for extended periods of time in field;
• Competence with technology (email, iPad, Excel, Google Drive, handheld GPS units, website platforms, GIS software);
• Routine maintenance, daily care & minor repairs of equipment;
• Precision Ag experience or familiarity is a plus;

• Competitive wages – production-based pay offered along with hourly wages & overtime pay;
• Mileage reimbursement available for use of your own truck;
