Seafood Clerk

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections and inquiries
- Receive, inspect, and store seafood products in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Prepare and package seafood products for display and sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures to ensure product quality and freshness
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the seafood department

Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in seafood or meat cutting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for weighing and pricing seafood products accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
