To drive these outcomes Alight is seeking a multidimensional Scrum Master/ Agile Project Manager, IT Business Systems Analyst, to join its team.

What You’ll Do:

As an IT Business Systems Analyst, (Scrum Master/Agile Project Manager) you'll be responsible for facilitating cross-functional delivery for no more than two Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams.

  • Able to facilitate agile (team, ART) ceremonies, coaching the team, capacity planning, and holding the team accountable for deliverables.
  • Willingness to step up as an RTE (Release Train Engineer)
  • Manages the capacity of the team, removes impediments, and contributes significantly to team quality.
  • Facilitate the cross-functional delivery of a range of business and technology deliverables using advanced negotiation, facilitation, planning, and dependency management techniques.
  • Holds the Product Owner and Development team accountable for their responsibilities in running the scrum process.
  • Facilitate release planning and governance activities across teams.
  • Visualize program and delivery progress via status reports and dashboards for leadership, while helping remove roadblocks and maintaining a laser focus on enabling consistent velocity and delivery for core team members.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks; define and drive mitigation plans.
  • Operate as a servant leader for the team and coach roles and stakeholders on understanding of the Scrum methodology.
  • Advocate for agile principles and help negotiate agreements between teams; facilitate productive communication between teams and among teammates.
  • Identify and champion when process or technology improvements may be warranted; lead continuous improvement by identifying and remediating cross-functional process gaps across your teams and the technology organization at large.
  • Act as data steward for team metrics such as timesheets, estimates, velocity, rosters, etc.


What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant scrum master or project management experience using Agile delivery framework.
  • Scrum/Agile certification will be a plus.
  • SAFe, Scrum Alliance CSM / CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP) preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong customer focus
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize, track, and deliver results.
  • Able to build, manage, and work with multiple teams to achieve defined goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor engagements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively to establish collaborative working relationships.
  • Able to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and ensure mitigation and closure.
  • Able to help course correct continuously as new priorities and new information become available.
  • Experience with Jira and Jira Align.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $82,000.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $130,000.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
