About the OpportunityDMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Scrum Master
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a servant leader, the Scrum Master partners closely with the product owner, IT, and business stakeholders on planning, forms and leads the scrum team, helps all team members as well as the organization, and champions continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with Product Owners, and development teams to support development and software delivery
- Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
- Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum related meetings
- Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools and best practices
- Mentors and coaches scrum teams on product backlog estimation and acceptance criteria definition, facilitates the definition of minimal viable product, and leads continuous refinement and prioritization of the product backlog
- Ensure the development team is working efficiently towards sprint goals
- Ensure requests from retrospectives are listened to and some of the requests are implemented to increase developer participation.
Required Skills/Certifications:
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I, CSP or equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field
- 5 - 10 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or Software Development setting
- Experience leading a team in an agile environment
- A thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Experience working with an agile methodology on large scale, technically complex projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Worked with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar software
Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Experience working in a consulting firm
- CSP Preferred
Location: On-site in Auburn Hills, MI, or remote with travel once a quarter
Minimum Citizenship: US Citizen/GC
