Are you a hard-working, experienced Screw Machinist looking for a new career opportunity? If so, this position is for you! A local manufacturing company in the Le Mars area is looking for a hard-working, experienced Screw Machine Operator to join their team. As a Screw Machinist, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of the Screw Machine, as well as the production of turned parts.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, and number of work pieces.
- Set up and operate Warner Swasey Multispindle Screw machines.
- Adjust and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Verify conformance of production parts to specifications using various measuring instruments.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical ability is required, previous Screw Machine experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to produce quality products without sacrificing defined throughput expectations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and to instruct/teach others as needed.
- Ability to work effectively with little supervision.
