Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures a warm friendly welcome to all individuals entering the facility (i.e. patients, visitors, vendors, delivery personnel, staff, etc.)
- Screens to ensure temperature readings for those entering the facility are within a standard range (i.e. fever-free).
- Utilizes screening questions to ensure individuals entering the facility have not had a recent exposure to illness.
- Wears provided Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) while distributing hospital provided PPE to those entering the facility.
- Follows established protocol for those who present with a fever reading outside the standard range or have had a recent exposure to illness.
- Monitors the flow of people entering the building to ensure appropriated distancing between individuals in accord with the social distancing guidelines posted leading up to and/or posted at the building entry.
- Follow CDC guidelines to determine if an individual is clear to enter the facility.
- Immediately report any accidents to manager on duty.
- Reporting cases of positive and negative responses according to established protocols while remaining cognizant of appropriate requirements (state, local and federal requirements established per site).
- Provide additional information to employees, patients or visitors once responses have been documented.
- Appropriate written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team player and ability to work independently.
- Ethical understanding of patient processes, confidentiality and personal health information (PHI) data management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.
- Must pass background and drug screenings.
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distance.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours is sometimes required
