Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialist III to join the team at San Antonio, TX.
The SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialist IIIplays a crucial role in systems operations, the deployment and maintenance of SCCM infrastructure, and provision of advanced support and expertise in managing SCCM-related tasks, as well as providing Splunk performance and tuning for systems and troubleshooting Splunk components across a multitenant, multinetwork environment. They provide solution engineering support to ensure systems and components meet current and future operations and configuration management standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitors various networks, computers, devices, applications, and services in a multitenant enterprise IT environment
  • Plans and manages SCCM upgrades, patches, and hotfixes, and packages, tests, and deploys complex applications using SCCM in compliance with agency requirements and industry best practices.
  • demands a deep understanding of SCOM, SCCM, and Splunk with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Lead and maintain 24x7 team coverage to support multiple agency domains across the breadth of the contract; balance operations center and configuration management responsibilities with Splunk specialist leadership to ensure mission accomplishment
  • Use designated SCOM and Service Manager Console to monitor enterprise services and generate tracking tickets as needed; provide support for all enterprise services; troubleshoot and resolve technical hardware and software issues; brief leadership on the health of systems
  • Support accreditation efforts; assist in providing user support, guidance, troubleshooting, and training; recommend and implement upgrades, patches, new applications and new equipment
  • Update/create/maintain documentation as needed; assist in administering and maintaining Splunk servers, clusters, and other critical systems in an enterprise environment; leverage Splunk to help organizations extract value from server data and enable efficient application management, IT operations management, compliance, and security monitoring; support a multitenant operations environment to collect, index, and manage big data; and conduct training for new teammates and mentor current team members
  • Leading system operations and configuration management teams. Working knowledge of SCOM/SCCM/Splunk. Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Working knowledge of Active directory (user account creation, password resetting, Kerberos setup, PKI setup). Ability to set up, configure, and support internal and external networks. Identifying and analyzing systems requirements. Developing and maintaining system applications/security/network configurations.

Experience/Education:
  • 9 years+ related experience required
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.

Security Clearance:
  • TS/SCI Required

Certifications:
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
  • Maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
