What You'll Do:

You will perform and lead research and development efforts within the Transformational Technologies division of the company. You will serve as Principal Investigator, Technical Lead, or Team Member in projects which may be experimental, computational, or both. You will directly shape company growth in areas related to your technical background and expertise and you will define/refine company strategies and plans in addition to executing technical efforts. You will deliver tangible results of your research and development efforts including prototypes, technology maturation and transition plans, patent applications, and publications.


Qualifications/What You’ll Bring:

  • Scientific knowledge and expertise that spans/integrates multiple technical disciplines
  • Scientific application experience that includes prototypes, patents, and/or publications
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts/findings to a non-technical audience
  • Desire to work in multidisciplinary project teams that include other scientists and engineers
  • Familiarity with National-level science and technology initiatives and grand challenges

Education/Credentials:

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree(s) in science (PhD preferred)
  • US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires US government security clearance.
    • Nice to have – Secret level clearance
    • Acceptable – No current clearance but eligibility to obtain

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods
