Your Role: 

The Scientist will develop assays from different platforms with focus on flow cytometry. The Scientist Is also involved in the execution of immune cellular monitoring and characterization experiments in support of Dendreon’s Autologous Cellular Immunotherapy (ACI) platform.


Your Work:

  • Perform Assay Development from different platforms (ranging from cell-based assay to flow cytometry)
  • Process blood from clinical trial subjects to generate samples for immune monitoring.
  • Perform cellular and humoral assays to monitor immune responses of PBMC from clinical trial samples.
  • Perform product characterization assays including, but not limited to, multi-color flow cytometry and multi-analyte cytokine analyses.
  • Analyze results using multi-factor modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Document results and outcomes in technical reports.
  • Maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
  • Support the management of Clinical Immunology laboratory, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, supply management and general care for the laboratory environment.
  • Maintain laboratory notebooks, experimental records as well as computer files and databases.
  • Represent Clinical Immunology in cross-functional team meetings, present results and conclusions.
  • Work independently and demonstrate ability of mentorship.

Job Requirements:

  • M.S. with 2-5 years experience preferred, or B.S. with 8-10 years proven expertise and appropriate experience in the field of cell biology and or cellular immunology.
  • Expertise in Assay Development
  • Expertise in flow cytometry
  • Expertise in bioassay analytical techniques including, cell culture, ELISA, cell based assays.
  • Familiar with cell free DNA technology a plus
  • Familiarity with cGMP requirements.
  • Ability to solve problems through analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Light lifting will be required.
  • Ability to safely handle potentially hazardous materials.
  • Requires occasional evening and weekend work.
