Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Senior Scientist position in the de Figueiredo laboratory in the Bond Life Sciences Center at the University of Missouri is available. The successful candidate will apply state-of-the-art molecular, cell biological, and scRNA-seq techniques to elucidating fungal and bacterial biology. Specific expertise in elucidating mechanisms of pathogenesis by filamentous fungi and bacterial pathogens is required. The highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and fast-paced projects will leverage expected funding from DARPA to advance these research areas. Candidates with expertise in bacteriology, microbiology, plant pathology, and drug discovery are encouraged to apply.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in related/ relevant area and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4 years of experience. Outstanding track record of peer-reviewed publications. Demonstrated independence and ability to train postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduates.
