Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Department: Special Education
Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of dedicated professionals in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students in our school district. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and effective clinician with a strong commitment to helping students achieve their full communication potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address the specific communication needs of students.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with a variety of communication disorders,including articulation disorders,language disorders,fluency disorders,and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers,parents,and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- License to practice speech-language pathology in the state of MI.
- At least two years of experience working as an SLP in a school setting.
- Experience working with a diverse population of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
