Summary 

The School Readiness BCBA will assess, develop, monitor, and train Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to implement individualized treatment plans to prepare clients for future success in school-based settings. The School Readiness BCBA will oversee multiple RBTs and provide ongoing feedback regarding behavior concepts and treatment plan programming. The School Readiness BCBA will also work with other service providers (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists, BCBA outside of School Readiness program) to develop transitions plans. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Creates and provides ongoing monitoring of a structured classroom schedule.
  2. Develops group social activities for age ranges of 3-6.
  3. Functions in a supervisory capacity and provides guidance to all areas of programming including training of RBTs and BCaBAs, as well as creation and revision of behavior plans for patients.
  4. Completes all required documentation and supervisory requirements as stated by state board for RBT and BCaBA supervision.
  5. Completes assessments and develops appropriate behavior plans to address caregiver and therapist concerns.
  6. Provides on-going support and training of behavioral intervention to the other members of the child’s therapy team and family/caregiver support members.
  7. Provides detailed daily treatment notes in EMR system and ensures daily billing of services provided.
  8. Facilitates patients’ transition from School Readiness program to outpatient services, as needed.
  9. Makes appropriate referrals for additional patient services, as needed.
  10. Facilitates and assists in the development and identification of resources and support information for patients and their families.
  11. Supports other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Licenses: 

Master’s degree in ABA or equivalent needed for certification

Active BCBA certification and state licensure, preferred

Experience & Skills: 

3+ years of programming experience preferred

3+ years of RBT supervision experience preferred

1+ years of leadership experience preferred

Excellent oral and written skills

Excels in computer skills

Physical Needs

Ability to travel to assigned APT locations, as needed

Ability to move freely around the clinical environment for patient treatment

Ability to lift 15 pounds

Ability to sit for a brief to extended period of time

Ability to work on computer for a brief to extended period of time
