Job description

Job Summary:
CSAGH is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional to provide support in various educational settings. The Paraprofessional will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to enhance the learning experience for students.

  • Self-motivated, dynamic, well-organized, and adaptable individual with a genuine desire to connect with, nurture, and minister to children.
  • Cultivates healthy and positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Assistance:
    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives.
    • Assist students with assignments, projects, and understanding instructional material.
  • Classroom Support:
    • Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional plans and activities.
    • Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Assist in record-keeping, grading, and other administrative tasks as needed.
    • Prepare instructional materials and help maintain an organized classroom environment.


  • Communication:
    • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
    • Collaborate with teachers to address student needs effectively.
  • Supervision:
    • Monitor students during various activities, including recess, lunch, and field trips.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in all settings.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with educators and other staff.
Physical Requirements:
  • The employee needs to communicate verbally and listen regularly.
  • The ability to stand, sit, and move around the classroom for extended periods.
  • Lifting, bending, and carrying classroom materials and supplies.
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written.
