Job Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in the Cleveland, MS area. As an OT, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the necessary skills for participation in educational activities and promoting their overall well-being. Your responsibilities will include assessments, intervention planning, and collaboration with educational staff and families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' sensory, motor, and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and visual perception.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans and classroom activities.
- Provide support and guidance to educational staff on strategies and acmodations to enhance students' participation and engagement.
- Monitor students' progress, document therapy sessions, and municate findings with relevant team members.
- Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing input and remendations for students' occupational therapy goals.
- Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Valid Mississippi state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
