Salary Classification: $35 per hour - This is a non benefited position. There is no set schedule. Work schedules depend on need of the district.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for professional medical treatment of students.
- Responsible for early detection of physical problems as well as health evaluation.
- Responsible for disease prevention.
- Maintain clinical records.
- Conducts state mandated screenings and health assessments.
- Provide emergency aid to students and school staff.
- Assists teachers in instructing students in health and nutrition education.
- Provide a variety of clerical duties in the health center, answering the health center telephone, filing health center records and reports, recording health and immunization data.
- Carrying out such other appropriate assignments not enumerated above as are made by the building principal, Lead Nurse, and/or Assisstant Superintendent of Operations.
- Shall cover other district health centers as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in nursing.
- Current nursing license.
- School nurses certification preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Successful experience with children and youth preferred.
- Ability to cooperate with the other members of the school staff on the program and problems relating to health and health priorities.
