Continuous Recruitment School Nurse (RN or LPN) - SubstituteThis is a substitute positon for the LPOSD School Nurses. Normal sub rates will apply for certificated employees - half or full-day rates. Position Summary: The School Nurse provides clinical support to the student population of the Lake Pend Oreille School District within the Registered Nurse's scope of practice.Job Duties:+ Provide emergency care in case of sudden illness and administer first-aid in case of injury to students or staff according to established policies and procedures
+ Administer prescribed medication to students in accordance with law and Board policy
+ Documents nursing interventions and maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students in accordance with state laws and Board Policy
+ Assists in routine health screenings for students
+ Make referrals and conduct follow-up activities as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
+ Hold a current valid Idaho Registered Nursing (RN) license (or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN))
+ First Aid & CPR Certification
+ Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents/guardians and other stakeholders
