Caseload: general duties
Pay range:$33-$40/hr
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic medical care and first aid to students and staff as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings to monitor students' health and detect potential issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all students, ensuring confidentiality and pliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to develop and implement individual health plans for students with specific medical needs.
- Promote and educate students on healthy living practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Manage and maintain the school's medical supplies, ensuring an adequate stock of essential items.
- Respond to medical emergencies and accidents on the school premises.
- Work closely with the school administration to ensure pliance with state and federal health regulations.
- Participate in relevant professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and healthcare trends in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Current LVN/LPN license.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- passion and patience in working with children.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of state health regulations and laws related to school health services.
